Two blog posts in a row that are dear to mine & David’s hearts. Wooho! hehe! But this time, it’s a wedding!
Not only did we photograph Hannah & Angelo’s wedding a couple weeks ago, I was also one of Hannah’s bridesmaids. Crazy, right? I will be blogging about how I did it/made it possible in another blog post soon, stay tuned for that. 😉
I have been friends with Hannah since freshman year of high school and she met Angelo when she was a freshman in college. I remember the group text message(s) and the talks during our hikes with the some of us girls on when she first started having an interest in him “more than just friends.” I knew Angelo was “different” because Hannah actually liked him. In high school, she would be the one that was not interested in dating or would sweat if her and and guy broke up. She would wonder why us girls would cry over the ones we knew were NOT the right ones for us. She is the type of girl that knows what she likes and is determined to go after what she wants. With Angelo, we all knew he was a special one to her from the beginning and even more so, as the years of dating continued, just by the fact that she LOVED him! hehe!
Angelo is absolutely PERFECT for Hannah and when it came time to purpose (you can view that story HERE), we could not be any happier for them both on taking this big step in their relationship.
During their wedding planning process, when it came time for Hannah to ask me to not only be her bridesmaid but also their photographer, I was SO SO honored.
Since I was in the bridal party, we wanted to make sure I spent more time enjoying the day and be present, instead of “working it.” (Putting it into quotations because I always enjoy working on wedding days. hehe) So we did some wedding photographs on the evening before. We first photographed the reception venue, which was at The Grand 1401. After that, we headed to Fowler Presbyterian for the rehearsal and enjoyed the rehearsal dinner following that.
I am so excited to be sharing this special wedding with you all today. This might be a little biased, but this one might be one of my top favorite weddings. 😉
The morning of, each of us bridesmaids helped put on something special of hers, while she did her earrings:
AHHH, I LOVE first looks! So sweet!
We then headed straight into bride and groom portraits & bridal party photographs
After wedding photo time, it was time to cool down and prepare for the ceremony
Hannah’s wedding ceremony was extra special because not only did her father walk her down the aisle, but since he is a Pastor, he also is the one who married them. How special!
Isn’t Fowler Presbyterian church beautiful?
Whenever our couples and their loved ones cry during ceremonies, it’s tough for us to keep our eyes dry. Since we knew Hannah and her father, this was a tough ceremony to NOT have a dry eye. Her father gave such a beautiful ceremony. There were laughs, tears of joy, and just simply: b.e.a.u.-tiful!
After the ceremony, we had more time for portraits before heading out to The Grand 1401!
Of course we had to take some funny ones, because these two sure aren’t the serious ones when it comes the daily life! hehe!
The Grand 1401 was such a gorgeous reception venue!!
The best catches/reactions to the garter & bouquet toss! haha!
It was so sweet, one of her brothers wanted to dance with her and it was such a beautiful dance. We all couldn’t keep our eyes off of them
After all the major events, between the dancing, and before David & I put our gear away to dance with the party, we sneaked outside for more portraits during sunset! (Can you tell, we LOVED all the portrait time the first look allowed us to have!? hehe!)
We LOOOOOVED this golden light we had! So pretty!
Hannah & Angelo, we could not thank you enough for having us take on such important roles on your day. We love you both and so excited for you!
XOXO,
Shelby Danielle
