Donating Hair to Cancer Patient | Personal

Share It On Your Social Media!

I can’t believe I am already writing this blog post!!

A little less than a month ago, I made a blog post about how David, my boyfriend’s, aunt has breast cancer and that I was wanting to donate my hair to create a wig for her… But we did not have the funds to do so. (You can see the blog post HERE.) Less than a month of donations, we hit our goal!! So… I made the appointment to cut my hair!

I did it!!!! Yesterday I cut 14.5 inches off! AHH!!

We could not do it with out everyone sharing the blog posts, donations, and prayers! We are so so thankful for it all!

Thank you to Marisa at Platinum Strands Salon & Spa for working with me on this project!

Today’s blog post is short, but I did want to share the photos + vlog about it! 🙂

Here is the vlog about it. You will notice that most of the video is about David and I shopping for our apartment, which does not match this blog post, but you can skip through to see more about me being nervous to cut it and see how it looks!

It is taking some time to get use to the short hair, but so far I am liking it!

I am so excited to send the hair to the wig company this week! Once the wig is created, I will have to share more about that journey and how my hair looks on his aunt! 🙂

Thank you so much for taking the time to view this blog post!
