Hi friends!
It has been on my heart to share this on my blog, but I haven’t had the chance to blog since last week. I had something everyday, all day, and I couldn’t share this on here.
If you are friends with me on Facebook, you have probably seen what I have planned, but if not, I would love for you to continue reading.
My boyfriend, David, has an aunt named Wynette. She recently was diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently going through chemo. As many know, when chemo starts, hair will start falling out. A couple weeks ago, Wynette ended up shaving off her hair and that is when it became all real. Losing your hair and going through something so serious can really take a toll on your confidence. All of Wynette’s family and friends see her strength during this time, but having a wig with real hair would sure be a blessing during this time. Am I right?
Wynette was blonde and here I am, with long blonde hair.
So, what does this mean?
I have decided to cut my hair 12 inches to donate to Wynette. I can donate the hair, but we are needing all the help we can financially, to create the wig for her. We are going to go through a company called, Compassionate Creations, here in Orange County, CA. It will cost at least $1,200.00. We are hoping to raise an extra $400.00 or more, in case my hair doesn’t meet the 8 ounce requirement and we will have to purchase more hair that is the same color + texture as mine. The last 4 days, we have already raised almost $500.00! We are already blown away and so so thankful for all the donations and everyone sharing the link to her GoFundMe link!
I am hoping to have it cut by the end of September, at the latest. We would love to have the wig created for her as soon as possible, as it does take 6-8 weeks to create the wig. If we raise the money before the end of September, we will have her wig in the works in time for her to have her wig by the holidays!

Thank you all so so much all the love, thoughts, prayers, shares, and donations! We are all so grateful for all of you!
Hope you all have a great rest of your week! 🙂
XOXO,
Shelby Danielle
