When I think of timeless fashion, I think of the kind of glamor that looks effortless and classy and can’t be pinned to a certain time period! What bride doesn’t want to look absolutely timeless on their wedding day? Finding the perfect timeless wedding gown is not always easy though. For that reason, I’ve compiled some of my favorite timeless dresses that I have had the pleasure of photographing to help inspire YOU!
This classic cut is flattering on every body shape. Whether you’re tall, short, thin, or curvy the A-Line can work for you. Its simple, elegant design is the definition of timeless. This cut is chosen by brides time and time again for its classic grace and versatility as a wedding dress. Not to mention, it’s comfy! This A line dress I photographed was dazzling with floral lace detailing and subtle sequins–too gorgeous to miss!
Off the Shoulder Moment
While an off the shoulder moment may be considered somewhat trendy, it’s actually a great way to put a more modern twist on a timeless strapless gown! If a classic strapless dress isn’t your thing because you’re worried that it may slip and slide on your wedding day, then an off the shoulder wedding dress can provide you with some (sometimes much needed) additional security. I absolutely love the off the shoulder dress that the bride below chose for her wedding. The decorative florals scattered about the fabric make her look like an absolutely timeless fairytale princess. Does anyone remember Thumbelina? If you know, you know!
A great way to create a “wow” moment while wearing a timeless wedding dress is to choose one that has a Mermaid Train! Mermaid wedding dresses are a super feminine cut and they accentuate your curves in all the right places! Mermaid wedding dresses create the illusion of more weight at the bottom of your body, so these timeless dresses are perfect for brides that have bigger bosoms or top halves because they will help create a sense of balance!
