Hello again & I’m back with part 3 of The Best Orange County Wedding Venues that I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at! If you missed out on Part One or Part Two, be sure to check them out! In this post, I’ll be talking about the Red Horse Barn and why I love it SO much. In fact, I love it so much that I’ve talked about it before in a blog post here. However, it deserves a post of its own–so let’s dive in.
The Red Horse Barn is a gorgeous outdoor venue with tons of green space. It is located within the 25 acres of the Huntington Central Park’s Equestrian Center, so it is incredibly private, beautiful, and has the added bonus of on site horses if your bride and groom would like to enter the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage! Being so private, this venue has a very slow moving, unhurried vibe that is ideal for couples that want a relaxing, intimate ceremony. The white fences, sprawling fields of green, and huge terraces are the perfect backdrop for any fairytale wedding.
The Bridal Suite
The Red Horse Barn has a gorgeous bridal apartment as well as a separate Groom’s getaway. This makes the Red Horse Barn the perfect venue for those that are looking to get ready on site rather than having to transport themselves and their wedding day necessities to the venue after getting ready! Any venue that has an onside Bridal suite & Groom’s getaway scores extra points in my book because being able to get ready on site takes SO much stress off of the bride, groom, and wedding party on wedding day! It also makes it SO much easier to change out of your wedding gown or bridesmaid dresses if you have a separate look that you would like to sport for the reception. Did I mention that the Bridal suite and Groom’s getaway both have their own attached porches? Could not get any better!
The Ceremony Area
There are several different areas that you can tie the knot during your wedding at the Red Horse Barn; however, the venue recommends their back lawn or the garden with the fountain framed gazebo! Either way, you truly can’t go wrong because both locations are so serene. I will say, however, if you’re planning on investing in a floral arch for your wedding day, the garden are makes installation super easy for you because they’ve got a wooden arch with latticework already erected in that area, so all your florist will have to do is secure your florals to it and voila! Photo ready!
The Reception Area
Similar to your ceremony, your reception can take place in any of the gorgeous spaces within this venue. However, the venue itself does recommend the gazebo terrace for cocktails and dancing, and I must say, I definitely agree! The terrace is a gorgeous concrete landing with lights strung up above it. Because it provides you with solid concrete footing, it makes dancing and setting up reception tables THAT much easier. No one wants their heels sinking into the grass. The terrace is still surrounded by lush, gorgeous greenery as well, so you won’t be missing out on any of the Red Horse Barn’s natural beauty by setting up here.
Photo Ops
Did I mention that the Red Horse Barn is located on 25 acres of sprawling, lush land? This means that there are photo-ops galore! From beautiful trails to gorgeously designed natural environments, I promise you won’t have any issues finding a place to snap some gorgeous first look, family, or wedding party photos!
Overall, the Red Horse Barn is the perfect wedding venue for a couple looking to host a gorgeous, low stress, outdoor wedding and reception. If having a Bridal suite and Grooms getaway on site are top priority for you, I would say go ahead and book this venue ASAP!
