This wedding was such a blast to shoot! The bride and groom, Lyndsi and Matt, got engaged in 2019 and had their wedding planned for 2020; however, when the pandemic hit, they decided to reschedule and I’m so glad that they did! The wedding ended up taking place in late spring of 2021 at The Red Horse Barn. Fortunately, a ton of family was able to attend because they rescheduled. It was totally worth it.
Before the wedding I got to spend some time photographing both the Lyndsi and Matt in their respective suites and they were both so kind. The Lyndsi’s girlfriends were sweet as can be and her best friend even ended up helping her with her hair and make-up. Another highlight of the before the wedding segment of this day was when Matt opened a present from Lyndsi with his groomsmen. She got him a skateboard and he absolutely lit up! It was adorable.
The ceremony itself was absolutely stunning. The venue, The Red horse Barn, is such an amazing Southern California wedding venue. It’s an all outdoor, all inclusive venue with some amazing spots for wedding day photos!
Lyndsi unfortunately lost her father in her teen years; however, her brother walked her down the aisle and it was so touching. Then for the first dance, she danced with her mother. Including her other family members were so sweet of her, instead of just skipping out on those traditions. You could tell that Matt wanted to kiss her so bad when he saw her in her dress at the end of the aisle, but he knew he couldn’t until after their vows. It was so sweet. Once the ceremony was over, we all headed over to the reception for dancing and wedding cake. Lyndsi shared her first dance with her mother and some tears were definitely shed.
Overall, this was such a great wedding to have been a part of! I loved every moment. From the beautiful weather to the welcoming friends and family, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
