My Favorite Engagement Photos Locations in SoCal & Beyond

Are you planning your engagement photoshoot? Congratulations! I’m sure you’re racking your brain trying to figure out WHERE your engagement photos should take place. Considering engagement photos locations & landing on one is a big decision! Some couples opt to take theirs at home or at the bar or restaurant where they first met; however, if that’s not your cup of tea, then you may be feeling stumped!

Fortunately for you, I’m here to save the day! As a professional wedding and engagement photographer, I have a huge catalog of engagement photos locations that I have photographed couples at before. These locations are mostly in Southern California; however, some are elsewhere & I can’t wait to share them ALL with you. This will be a multi-part series, so keep an eye out for more ideas in parts 2, 3, 4 and beyond!

Engagement Photos at Mt Baldy, California

I LOVE an outdoor engagement photoshoot–in fact, most of the engagement shoots that I do for clients are outdoors! However, one of my favorite outdoor locations in Southern California is Mount Baldy. The scenery is absolutely stunning! From the gorgeous canopy of tall evergreens & the cliffside views to the babbling brooks and small ponds, you can truly find any type of outdoor scenery that you’re looking for at this location. Need some inspiration? Check out the photos below!

Engagement Photos at Peralta Trial, Superstition Mountains, Arizona

I know this location isn’t in Southern California, but I had to include it because it is just TOO beautiful not too. Not to mention, I frequently travel for my couples, so I wanted to include a non-Californian location to remind you that you have OPTIONS outside of CA for your engagement photos!

Desert photoshoots are always so gorgeous because the lighting is immaculate & the landscape is otherworldly. The cacti and other local plantlife in Arizona serve as a gorgeous, minimalist backdrop for any engagement photoshoot. Desert engagement photos truly make YOU and your fincée the star of the show. Check out one of my recent Desert engagement photoshoots below!

Engagement Photos at Yorba Regional Park, Yorba Linda, California

Another great outdoor engagement photo location in Southern California is Yorba Regional Park! This park is absolutely stunning & so, so lush. If you’re looking for an outdoor engagement photo location that feels like a fairy wonderland, then Yorba Regional Park will be perfect for you. It’s tall grass, golden light filtered through the trees, and small ponds will transport you and your finacée into what feels like a real life Disney movie! There are rolling fields to run through, bridges to kiss on top of, and rustic picket fences to pose in front of as well. Perfect for any rustic, boho, or farmhouse inspired bride and groom. See the pictures below for a sneak peek!
