I absolutely love mentoring sessions! Being able to help someone learn their camera and being able to help them with posing and getting their portfolio built, makes me so happy! 🙂
In December, Allie, a senior in high school, was interested in a senior session since she is into photography and wanted to see what a session with me looked like, to see if she wanted to really get into photography. So, we made the mentoring session happen during a busy season in early December, on a chilly morning!
We met up about 30 minutes before Macey, our model for the day (also, one of my 2016 spokesmodels) arrived. We were able to get to know each other a little more and she got to learn more of her camera. I am a Canon shooter, while she was a Nikon shooter. It was a bit tough, since I was unsure how to work her model of Nikon, but we got it to work and I she was able to learn how to shoot in manual + pose a senior!
Allie and I had an absolute blast working together and photographing Macey! Macey is such a natural and always a pleasure to work with!
Take a look below to see some behind the scenes captures + the photos I got to catch of Macey!
Enjoy! 🙂
