When I met up with Lucia + Isaiah over a year ago for their consultation, I was instantly SO excited for their wedding day! When we first met, we kicked it off and their love story just made me smile!
Isaiah first saw Lucia at school with her rolling backpack and instantly fell for her! Through love at first sight, they continued dating for years and finally decided to get married! This God-loving and Christ-serving couple could not have had a better wedding day!
I walked into their twelve hour wedding day amazed at how calm and ready this couple was! David started with Isaiah, while I worked with Lucia and her bridesmaids. Walking into the room with the ladies, they were full of smiles and great energy! While Isaiah was nervous, he still had a great time with his guys. He was anxiously ready to see his bride!
We headed to Pasadena City Hall for their first look and all the other portriats. From the moment Isaiah saw Lucia as a beautiful (inside & out!) bride, their day just continued to be amazing! His reaction was the best once he turned around to her. 🙂
Once all our portraits were done, we packed our things and went to Downey, CA. Their home church is in Downey and they had their beautiful ceremony with family and friends. What was amazing was they had TWO receptions! They had their first reception with all their church family where they enjoyed a meal, first dances, and speeches/toasts. We then headed to their second reception with their family. This reception had their first dances and toasts again, but even more! A few of Lucia’s bridesmaids did a folkloric dance that had everyone’s attention. But then the couple ended up surprising everyone with two of their own dances! It was absolutely perfect and everyone LOVED it! They wanted to continue keeping Christ as the center of their wedding (and marriage), so they did a testimony and showed how they will serve by washing each others feet.
I could not be any happier for the newlyweds and such a sweet & deserving couple! 🙂
Lucia + Isaiah, happy one month anniversary! Thank you so much for choosing us to be there to capture your big day! It was absolutely beautiful, fun to capture, and overall amazing! Love you both!
