Our engagement session | Personal

I don’t remember the last time I published a blog on a Saturday… Or if at all, but I had to share…Today marks SIX MONTHS away from our wedding day!!! AHH!!

It’s already been seven months and we only have six months to go!? Our engagement has been really flyyyyiinnggg by! I am constantly in the battle of not knowing how I am feeling as time quickly passes. Am I excited? Am I anxious and having anxiety? I guess it’s both! I am so excited for our big day, have all of our friends and family in one place, and continue our lives as husband and wife. I am also feeling a little anxious, as we still have so much to do and plan! I don’t know how couples plan a wedding in less than a year, but I give them props! haha!

With realizing I never shared/blogged our engagement session in Paris and it being only a half a year away from our big day, I thought today was the perfect day to do so!

If you saw our recap blog post about our France trip, you saw that not only did David propose there for a “styled shoot” (where he actually proposed), and then the next day we had planned to model again for another photographer, which instead of just modeling for her, it happened to be our first engagement session and one of our favorite sessions! (Other than the proposal of course! hehe!)

Before we got engaged, or even left for our trip, we had set up the session with Michelle Wever Photography. She posted in one of the photography Facebook groups looking for a couple who would be willing to work with her while she was visiting Paris. A fellow photographer tagged me in the post and guess what!? Both of our dates and times met up perfectly!! So, we made it happen!

Michelle is from the Netherlands and was one of the sweetest gal’s that David and I have met. We had such a blast exploring a little part of Paris with her. She even allowed for a something sweet and special for David and I. Jaime, our proposal (& wedding photographer) got us a locket and keys. The “Love Locks” bridge (the one where most couples would put their lock) in the city was down, so we found another area to put it. 🙂 Michelle took photos of us locking the lock and throwing the key, but we also have our own key for ourselves too. 🙂 We also have a video for ourselves that we have looked back on and smiled. 🙂

Down below are some of our favorites!

Thank you so much, Michelle, for such sweet memories and gorgeous photographs to look back on and display around our home. 🙂

XOXO,
Shelby Danielle
