When Sarah & Ivan mentioned they wanted to do their engagement session at Hillcrest Park in Fullerton, CA, I was excited to see the new updated portion of the park. I photographed a portion of a wedding at Hillcrest, but they were under construction at the spot where we held Sarah & Ivan’s engagement session.
If you are in the Fullerton area, definitely check out the new and improved portion of the park. It’s gorgeous!! 😀
I remember the night clearly, when David and I met Sarah & Ivan. They were at our neighbor’s house at 10PM or 11PM, but Ivan’s truck was blocking me from getting into my garage. All I wanted to do was get inside, unload my gear, and get some sleep. David then got a hold of our neighbors and as we were heading back to put my gear away, we were invited into what was just a few people left over from a party they had. We ended up staying HOURS at our neighbors house…Like until 3:00AM!! AHH!! We got to talk to Ivan and Sarah and we all kicked it off! Instant friendship, to the point where David asks, “We should hang out with them again.” Whenever they show up while we scroll on social media.

As the year passed, they got engaged!! Ivan proposed at Driftwood Festival and it was their perfect touch. They have a love for country music and went for a day to enjoy music, but little did Sarah know that he would be down on one knee!! So sweet! 🙂 David and I were engaged at the time and we couldn’t be any happier for them to experience the engagement season in their lives.
As another year has passed, these two are getting married NEXT WEEK!! 😀 EEKK! David and I are so excited to not only be there with them, but capture the start of their marriage as they are surrounded by their loved ones!!
