Imani contacted me asking about graduation photos and not only was I excited to help capture this exciting time in her life, but I was also excited to have the chance to hang out with her and catch up.
Imani and I grew up in the same church + youth group. We haven’t seen each other for about seven years. Between moving, attending different churches, and simply growing up, we haven’t had the chance to catch up. Since it was so long since we last saw each other, we had the best time during her session. We got to walk around Cal State Fullerton’s campus taking photos of her and catching up on all that has happened over the years, from school, family, and careers.
I love the uniqueness of every senior session I get to photograph. Whether its props, people they bring along, or in Imani’s case, outfits! We got the typical dress shots, her in her cap & gown, and she also brought along her school shirt with a jacket and sunglasses. I was dying during this part of her shoot. It was SO her!! I was smiling so big at the fact that I knew her and the photos just screamed: IMANI! hahah! I loved it!!! You are going to have to scroll down to see what I am talking about! 😉
Imani, congrats on your upcoming graduation!! I am honored to have had the chance to capture this big milestone for you and I am SO excited to see what the future has in store for you! 🙂
