Fall Decor

When it comes to fall weddings, the options are truly endless. You could go for a more cozy, rustic decor scheme with soft, romantic colors. A natural, dreamy, boho wedding in earth tones is also perfect for those autumn months. You could even opt for a more moody, dramatic design scheme. Fall foliage offers the perfect inspiration for the color palette of your wedding. Burn orange, rust, chocolate brown and sage green are great colors to go with if you want that natural fall look. But a bright palette with pops of bold color – featuring red, orange and yellow will work beautifully as well!

Fall Venue Ideas

As autumn is such a visually stunning season, an outdoor venue is often a great choice. The surrounding foliage will compliment your decor scheme and create stunning photographs to commemorate your big day. Your guests will love a scenic spot with stunning views and crisp, fresh air. Even if you choose to go with an indoor venue, finding one nestled in a natural setting will elevate your wedding. Big picture windows will bring in natural light and show off those scenic views and exposed brick and wood beams could compliment your autumn colors nicely. Barns, breweries and botanic gardens are all classic fall venue options.

Fall Dresses

Autumn’s cooler weather creates the perfect opportunity to find a wedding dress that will set your ceremony apart. A dress with sleeves is a great way to look chic and out of the ordinary while combating the chill. Be sure to also have a shawl or stole on hand to pull on as the night falls to keep yourself warm. You could go for a look that keeps you current and trendy, like a dress that features an open back or a cape, or you could go for a more classic look. Lace, and floral appliqués are timeless options that fit right in for fall. And daring colors like blush, taupe, or gold are great options that feel unique and will work perfectly with the color scheme of your autumn decor.

Fall Florals

Whether you’re opting for more traditional florals, or a wild garden aesthetic, those rich fall colors will create a magical floral design for your wedding day. Quicksand roses, burgundy snapdragons, deep yellow dahlias, terra-cotta colored chrysanthemums…there are so many incredible options! You can also create stunning and distinctive shapes with seasonal cut flowers like orchids or hanging amaranths. Foraged fillers and greenery can be a great way to incorporate some local charm into your floral decor. If you’re going for a more bohemian aesthetic, dried grasses are always a beautiful addition, and there is no better time than fall to bring together a mix of fresh and dried florals. Eucalyptus, which comes in a vast variety of shades and shapes, can also bring in some breathtaking natural beauty for your big day (and it smells amazing, too)!
