2017 Behind the Scenes Recap

Share It On Your Social Media!

Wow! Every year when I put together this blog post, I am always so amazed at how quickly the year past and how blessed I am with wonderful clients.

If you haven’t seen any of these posts before, you can check out 2015 and then 2016! ๐Ÿ™‚

Although this year it doesn’t look like I have as many behind the scenes, I do feel it has been extra special. Not only because I got to met so many great people whether it’s clients, creatives, or relatives of them, but because it was my first year where this was my only job. Still feeling so grateful to be ending my first year of being full time!! hehe!

Just like every year, this year was filled with portrait sessions and wedding, but some highlights of the year was traveling to France and being a bridesmaid + photographer for a good friend of mine.

Another amazing year is coming to an end and I am so excited to share some BTS shots with you! ๐Ÿ™‚

There were times where I had to work around rules, but still get the shot for clients! hehe!
(Example: Sitting down in the pews during a Catholic ceremony because we can’t be down the aisle ๐Ÿ™‚ )Or hiding in little caves to get the beautiful sunset behind the coupleOr how about getting down low to get a great shot with shadows of my boudoir ladies!? ๐Ÿ˜›It also doesn’t hurt to get sandy!Getting low to make sure that tower was in the shot, was sure worth it! ๐Ÿ˜‰I’m sure going to miss being the extra bridesmaid as I have the next few months off!

Or how about actually being a bridesmaid? haha!My throat is going to thank me during this break from not talking/yelling at people what to do ๐Ÿ˜‰Even when I direct everyone, I am happy to know they can think I am funny! ๐Ÿ˜‰I mean, I make fun of myself to help make them laugh! ๐Ÿ˜›If I’m not making people laugh, I am all up in their griiiiilllll!! Fixing things or following them for certain shots!I also dance with them! But I’m also a fly on the wall and keep my distance! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Apparently I have different moods when David tests his light! But when I help other photographers, I give them entertainment! hahah!

It’s also been a year of growth! I am so proud of David. He took on the workshop + styled shoot in France with an open mind and has grown so much in his skill since then. It really has been a great year with clients and David on my side helping capture our couples’ love stories!Thank you all for checking out this year’s behind the scenes post and for an amazing year!

So excited to see what 2018 has in store!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a fun & safe new years!!

XOXO,
Shelby Danielle
